I can not believe how many times this post has been viewed! WOW! If my struggles can help others than this is all worth it.
(Plus the fact that I am also learning!)
We all fall and slip thats for sure. I can't beat myself up for having a relapse. I think the reason why I have been so hard on myself was that I thought I was disappointing everyone else around me. When in all actuality I was more disappointed in myself!
Why on earth be so hard? Everyday that I don't light up I am beating this addiction. Everyday I am letting go of the hold it has had on me for so long.
We can do this. I can do this. Have faith in yourself. Believe that you are strong.
We can take it one day at a time or one minute at a time or one second at a time. Just don't give up fighting. Fight the addiction that has kept a hold of you for all this time.

Hi Lolo,
This is day 5 for me. This is not easy at all. I am focusing on the pride I feel at the moment for having not smoked for 1 day, 5 days in a row. It was really bad on my way in to work this am but, once that obsession passed, I was like a kid on Christmas day. I didn't smoke. So hang in there. We can do this!

OK I MADE IT!! Lolo 24 and Junkie 0!
One day down a lifetime to go!
I know that a lot of it has to do with the way that you are thinking. When you throw up your hands and say I don't care! What does it matter any way? You really do care and it really does matter.
We know it does because we are trying to reach out and grab onto anything that we can to grab and hold onto. I know that at times I feel like there is no way that I can ever change the bad habits. But, I reach out(even if it is just reading the boards)and hold on so that I know that I am not alone. We can do this.
Thank you for your support and encouragement everyone. I can do this! I will do this even if it takes me...
One day at a time,
one minute at a time,
or one second at a time.
I wil do this.
