Hi guys,
Just give me a one two punch to make sure my head is on straight.
My good girlfriend from Florida is coming to visit. I get her at the airport tomorrow.
I managed not to smoke, early in my quit, when I went to visit her last March. It was difficult but I did it and was proud. She always said she would be quit by the time she came up here.
We have talked on the phone the past two weeks making plans for things we will do and she never mentioned if she had quit and I didn't ask.
She had tried to quit a few times the past few months and failed. But she would say....."don't worry, I'm gonna be quit by the time I come up." But......she has never told me she has quit.
I may be pleasantly surprised....but then again....I may have a challenge.
I don't feel weak......but apprehensive as to how I will feel when we sit on the back patio with a little wine and she smokes. We use to sit for hours smoking and talking. Thank goodness my oldest daughter doesn't smoke and she will be stopping over here and there.
So...sock it to me with lots of pep talk and reminders. I can sure use it.
I want to continue to be an example for her...that she can indeed quit. But, I'm sure you all know how selfishly our little minds can work.
thanks guys
Mercy
