Does this mean an addict can tell himself he's not an addict and not feel guilty about it? Bear, my friend, there are different degress of addiction you know, some of us to the milder degree. Some to the heavier degree. I was one of the bad ones, I am still looking in the mirror going 'Holy crap I am really a non smoker!" and I know I can never put another cigarette to these lips! My deep addiction explains why I needed to quit 703 times. Perhaps you were luck enought to have a lighter addiction. In any case, be glad you are now smoke free!!! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 216 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,400 Amount Saved: $2,278.80 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 9 Mins: 43 Seconds: 46

Bear. I hear you my friend, I too had difficulty in thinking of myself as an addict, but it is true, in times of stress, I find myself wanting to reach for the weed, but i don't. However, this shows me that I am indeed an addict. I don't thinkn you are a fool, or in denial, i just think, that you haven't truly appreciated what addiction is yet lynnexx My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 348 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,220 Amount Saved: 1,392.00 Life Gained: Days: 39 Hrs: 13 Mins: 19 Seconds: 11

Recently I,ve been having some self doubts. It seemed a little harsh to me to call myself an addict, especially when my image was that of a down and out person resorting to whatever they had to do to get their fix. Don,t get me wrong I could get just as ugly as the next guy if I found myself without my nicotine but to call myself an addict just did,nt feel comfortable. Now I know somebodys going to say ah the old fools in denial, may be,or perhaps now that I,m healing and my recovery has been relativly uncomplicated my perspective is a little clearer than it was before. One way or another I toss this out there for your consideration and views. :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 201 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,618 Amount Saved: $2,010.00 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 21 Mins: 50 Seconds: 56
