Knowing that I've quit and sticking to it is wonderful for me. I'm getting weird symptoms but that's ok. I won't die from quitting. Not smoking is a learning process and I learn each step of the way. I feel better today than I have the past 4 days. It's a nice break from the struggle.

I think that the knowlege of what cigarettes can do to my body makes me stay quit. I always knew it was not good for me but didn't know how to stop. I only heard what I wanted to hear.
I feel 9,000,000% better since I have stopped smoking. I love that I don't stink or look gray. I love not sitting in a smoke filled garage 89% of my time. Life is to precious and short for that.
I went to a funeral visitation for a 40 year old woman this evening. I don't want to die any younger than I have to. That is why I stay quit. I am doing something that is not easy and I am proud of myself!

The pride I feel in accomplishing this. I love challenges, and this certainly has been one of the biggest. I would be so disappointed in myself if I took even one puff.
I'll definitely join the Everybody Loves Their Quit club, BC :)

We all seem to be so glad we quit.
Mister Ed, Bear and John are all loosing teeth due to smoking. We all are hoping the damage we caused will repair itself. Kev likened it to playing roulette. How foolish we are with life.
The boards are very interesting now. We have a group of solid old quitters. Some with damage some without. The octobreathers who seem to be doing really well and the newest group DeQuitters bonding quickly.
While the physical damage can take time to show up,The instant, or almost instant, relief from coughing and breathing helps me to stay quit. The mental surge of confidence helps me to stay quit.
What helps you to stay quit?
