I just read the post now, sorry I didn't get to it sooner and sorry to hear you slipped. Good thing you didn't break a bone or need a cast :) you just got right back up, dusted yourself off and got right back to it. That is probably the most positive thing of your quit and the slip, you knew that wasn't what you wanted, identified why you did it and dealt with it. You realized you didn't want to smoke and that it was a possibility to throw your quit away if you didn't get right back on track. It's all a learning experience and I'm glad to hear that you stayed strong. I agree with leaving your quit meter where it is minus 1 day as you didn't relapse you just had one of those poor judgement moments and it sounds like you won't have anymore of those so don't be hard on yourself. You have been an inspiration to myself and many others here, your wisdom and encouragement are appreciated very very much! Thanks again for being on here and posting your experience as it allows us to learn in advance. Thanks again and take care!
Keep letting the sun shine in!

As you once told me when I was having a rough time.."We don't only do easy things here at scc, new me". Glad you stopped the train at one; that took alot of strength.

Happy New Year Heather and having read through all these posts I'm in absolute agreement that you should keep your meter where it is. It really was a slip not a relapse. No need to beat yourself up over this any longer. You have remained a steadfast member of this forum helping many many people - you are an inspiration!! So stay positive and celebrate you haven't smoked in 2008!! Isn't that great?

Heather,
I hope all is well with you now. Never beat yourself. If I did that I'd be black and blue by now!!!!
As it is I've had to recommit after these holidays and work the program once more!
You've given me support on more than one occasion, and its great to see all the support you're getting now!
Keep that great quit going strong,
Cheers, Jan :)

What??? I am needed for the entertainment????
It is as good as booked. I need to get on the horn immediately, you know it is hard to get a good band with a short notice. But you know me, I love a challenge.
Sure would be nice if Crazy Aunt Agnes could come. Heard she flew down south for the winter....
