I was told by a MD once that smoking puts extra air in the GI and gives us more stomach problems. With that in mind in the long run we will feel better down there.

Doesn't matter what phase of a relationship...quitting smoking creates gas...erego farts.
Farts are funny.
Have a great quit fussy, and marcus, and let your body cleanse itself naturally. Enjoy the pressure release.

Wow. Ten days into my quit and I've only just realized that you've ALL been through this excessive farting phase. Once again, I discover I am not alone.
Has anyone ever noticed an increase not only only in the fart frequency, but also in the noise level during this phase? I think I can hit 370 decibels right now, or whatever Concorde used to do on takeoff.
Just curious.
:)

Yes we are at the - we don't fart stage of the relationship although, he is realising now that i do fart after all! He still smokes though, he is trying zioban i think it is called - he has reduced but not stopped yet. He's at the feeling better as he has reduced the fags but, constantly thinking about having the next one, getting anxious about it. Then having one and feeling a bit **** about it. Pleased i'm not at that stage any more i think its the worst one!

Fussyone,
There are a few OTC products to try in addition to changes you can make in your diet.

For some reason the farting appears to have reduced today so, hopefully it will continue to reduce. No, can't enjoy farting sorry - i have only been seeing my boyfriend four months and its not attractive.
Anyway! How do you get a picture etc on your profile - can't figure out this place at all.

I think I have to object to the title of this thread.
