Hi everybody. I have been quit now for over a year (18 months is my milestone I've always been aiming for. Then BIG party!) Anyway, I am sitting here with a cold and a sore throat and the usual achey body. Thing is, as a smoker at the most - I got one cold a year. It was a bad one and the lack of breath was scary (we've all been there I am sure) but, it was only ever one.
Over the past year since I stopped smoking, I seem to be getting colds every other week. Well, maybe not THAt many but a LOT. It's getting me down a wee bit and just wondered if any of the long term quitters had experienced this and how long it might take to pass?
Otherwise, keep up the quits guys. It is so worth it.
Serenity.
