Anna....every time you encounter a crave and struggle through it, you WIN....you stay in CONTROL and that is what this is about. By maintaining the control, you begin to get a grip on the quit...the demon has to let go...he can't have his way.
don't forget to reward yourself in some way each time this happens....it means you WIN!!! and the final prize is the freedom and I can tell you now....you won't believe how sweet that is!

I'm printing that one out and keeping it. Those are exactly the sorts of "logic" that my addiction successfully applies to me that ends up breaking my quits.
How about:
"It's just a little bit of fun... A nice buzz... You don't have to get hooked again."
"At least you're not drinking again.
