Well....mine wasn't as much fun as yours....but
I JUST HAD THE FLU.... and I couldn't help but remember....sick or not......still forcing myself to smoke.
It was nice to be sick....and not make myself sicker!! ;)

Today I went into the store where I usually buy cigarettes.
The owner out of habit picked up my brand of cigarettes and placed it on the counter. It was tempting but oh so wonderful to say, "Not today, I don't smoke anymore." He smiled and said, "Good for you."
That was another first for me. I resisted! I didn't come home with a pack of cigarette. I came home with a big smile! :)

My first Superbowl Party smoke-free. It's really interesting to watch the current smokers go outside during commercials. I counted, they went out 4 times from the time the game began and when it was over.

I can't really say it was my first since this is not the first time I quit... but I remember this past year having my first flight where I was itching to get outside for a cigarette and then once I quit a few months after that feeling a huge relief for not having that desperate feel anymore. It made me feel so much better :).

Unhooked,
Thanks for starting this great conversations! A lot of first here! It's fun to hear what others have experienced for the first time smoke-free.

I went to the doctor today. When she asked me if I smoked I had the privelege to say NO.
The story is not over....
My blood pressure was 112/80. I was driving home this evening wondering, what I have done lately to get my blood pressure at such a good level???
Was it my new diet???
I haven't been exercizing.
...Then it hit me!!!

I only have 2 days quit and hope to have many more but -
My first is that I didn't have a cigarette while driving my car.
It's not much of a first but it makes me smile! :)
