The Secret.....

Hey, As many of you know, I've been having a tough time breaking free from this addiction. I have been on this site quite a lot talking about how hard it is and how tough I'm finding it. About a year ago, someone gave me a dvd of The Secret made by Rhonda Byrne, its basically about the law of attraction. The law of attraction basically says that whatever you think about and focus on the most, you attract into your life. I watched that dvd again tonight with smoking at the back of my mind and realised that it was true for me. For 6 days, I've been saying, this is hard, I can't handle it, I have an interview, how will I cope, its getting harder, I feel lousy etc etc etc etc. And thats what I've been getting, it got harder, I couldn't cope. When I started, I couldn't picture myself smoke free. I thought it wasn't possible but that if I could hold on long enough, the horrible feeling would go away. It didn't, because I kept it alive by pining for something that I wish I'll never have again!! Non smokers do not behave like this and I am a non smoker so what am I doing? I'm free. What you resist, persists. So I'm going to embrace my wonderful new life and get happy! So the purpose of this thread is to focus on how wonderful it is to be free, every little thing. Even if I'm having a bad day, I will not say one bad thing about stopping on this thread(I'll go to another one!), I will find something good and wonderful and helpful every day. I know this type of thread is normally under rewards category but I think that those who have 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 days under their belt or even a few hours should be so happy and positive. Even when you're in bed, just think about a day, any day. It can be a normal day or a special day. Close your eyes and visualise yourself in that day, having a wonderful day and feeling happy, positive and wonderful being a non smoker. Even to do it for a few minutes every morning before you get up. What the mind can perceive, it can achieve! I'm 23, I smoked for ten years about 25 a day the last 2 years and now I'm free. Wow! If I think about my wedding day, or having kids (both of which are a few years away!) I would hate to be a smoker. Right now, I'm going to start thinking that putting a cigarette in my mouth is no more appealing than sticking one up my arse!! Ok, so I'm getting off track!! This is the I'm so happy and grateful now that I'm free thread!! So folks, what was wonderful about your smoke free day?
