Oh golly, I laughed too, when I read your post! Sounds sooo much like some doctors I've worked with! They so need a life! My theory is that they went to college right out of High School, didn't socialize with anyone cuz they were studying and then they went to pre med, (no social life) then internship (no social life), then residency (definitely no social life), and pretty soon you have a really smart person who's now in their late 20s or early 30s, with NO social skills whatsoever!
So we pity him, and CHEER you! YaaaaaaaaaaHooooooooooo! Go get another doctor, but pat yourself on the back, first. I'm 5'6 and I weigh 170 lbs, so don't even go there with 8 lbs! LOL Congratulations on a wonderful quit!
