Hey Kelly A1 How are things going today? i hope you are finding your way out of the doldrums. Keep reminding yourself that smoking might make you feel better, but only for a few minutes till the next craving, and on and on and on it goes. Have a better day. I am proud of you for seeing your doctor about this. Remember that you don't have to stay on something forever. My doc recommended a 4-6 month period until the brain adjusts to not having the nicotine. Keep fighting the good fight..........Moss My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 136 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,040 Amount Saved: $459.00 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 21 Mins: 46 Seconds: 31

Kelly, this is so normal. me and hubby had days like that, when it just got to us so bad, I think around 100 days also, it is probably posted here some where - we popped a Chantix. I am not advocating that, but whether it was physical or mental, it got us through the day. whew. Deep breaths. I am not caught up with you, are you rewarding yourself? We still do! It helps, even if it is a small thing, do it often. Kelly, It's not really that you want a smoke, it's just that you are used to doing that when you got overwhelmed. You are dealing with a lot of things, and it's easy to fall back into that way of thinking, especially when we've done it for so long. I just try to remember that when I smoked, I felt like an outcast, I was actually embarrassed that I smoked, and all I thought about was quitting. If you hate smoking as much as I think you do, then just hold on, the bad days eventually end and then we feel stronger and more capable each time we resist the "familiar" urge to indulge. You are doing wonderful, please take time to look at yourself in the mirror; your skin is getting healthier, your teeth are getting whiter, and your breath smells minty fresh! Rename yourself Snow White! (PS: "Hang on Sloopy" was the name of a song back a looooong time ago, probably before you were born, and Jim likes making puns...) You've got that real true blue fighting spirit, Kelly. If you can pass the store with all the cigarettes in there and go home and take your meds and rest and relax that mind then you've got all the moxy in the world and I fear nothing for you or your quit!!
