Two Years for Marie!

for 16 år siden 0 3307 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Marie, you are such and inspiration to everyone of us.  Your humor and your straight forwardness has helped me more than you will every know. Happy Birthday!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your dog.  I understand the sadness, we went though it last year and I still miss our Missey.  Those lovely little creatures enter our hearts and become almost human.  They love us no matter what.  (((HUGS)))

We've never met, thank you for your kind and understanding words.  I tell you this place is addictive, it keeps pulling me back.  I am proud of my stats and know that it's over for me, still when it hurts the addiction speaks to you, just to remind you how strong it is and to be on your guard always. Thank you again.

Marie,

I am sorry to hear about your beloved dog. What a horrible loss. How are you feeling? I am however glad to hear that you were able to resist temptation. And on that note, congratulations on reaching two years! What a wonderful accomplishment. You should feel extremely proud of yourself.  It's a long journey, but always remember, you don't have to do it alone.
Let us know how you are,

Hi Marie,
I was looking out for you yesterday, must have missed you cos of the time difference and I'm on night duty at the moment. So sorry to hear about the double whammy yesterday.....what a rotten Friday 13th. It's a horrible loss isn't it. My cat Harvey had to be put to sleep a year last February, he was 17 years old. Pets become such  members of the family don't they. Last christmas my chldren bought me a kitten. I was horrified to start off with...how could they be so irresponsible...pets were not gifts...I was much too old to be responsible for another pet, ( actually I'm not 56  until September whatever my stats say!!!) But they said I was just not the same without a cat, there was something missing and they were right....My Tabby-cat  si wonderful and I'm grateful the kids could see that.

They have never said that about smoking though...and that is definately something that they and I know is a bonus to be out of my life.

Hope you're feeling  better today...and I still think you ought to celebrate a massive 2 years quit. Tell that hubby of yours to crack on and book a hugely expensive restaurant and go get plastered!!!

Lots of love coming your way, Lilly.

Hi, Marie - and I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Twelve years is a long time to have been with a good old pet and it's very hard to let go... Like a lot of members I've been there with beloved pets (Dimi my Himalayan of 13yrs) who had to go finally.... I have so much admiration for you that you fought off that desire to crawl into a ball of nicotine ... congratulations and may you find another pet to make happy very soon when you've grieved enough...

Oh, Marie, I am so sorry, and I know I don't have the words to give you complete comfort. But please know that your precious furry friend is with other precious furry friends...they are all there together, and I hope your buddy is not chasing my Mr. Fluffy. You have so much strength to get you through, my dear, so allow yourself to rest and have peace in that strength.

Marie,

It sucks I know and hurts so.  I feel your pain.  Only to offer that you  find a new love soon.

Don't smoke because of boredom, that is only a very temporary fix.  Go to bed and feel better tomorrow.  They are the blessed ones, sleep now.

Marie,
I want you to know that you are in my prayers right now.  I know how difficult it is to lose a pet, and with that I can understand your thought of a cigarette even though you would never light up.

I wanted to congratulate you on your two years, yet at the moment what you are going through takes first priority.  You have given me encouragement over the past two years and now I believe I have found "the quit".  This feels good, it feels right.

This is not an easy time for you I know, but two smoke free years takes a lot of tenacity, and we are very proud of your achievements.

I am thinking of you right now, and sending prayers your way.

Jan
