I think that Bonnie has a good idea when she suggests using a mask when in company to avoid other people's bugs. I know that I would do so. It's perfect for disguising my muttering at the smokers who blow clouds of crap around just outside the hospital doors! Harummmmph!
One way of dealing with the boredom while in isolation is to memorize a favourite sonnet. I haven't done it for years but I can still stumble through Hopkin's The Windhover in my mind and revel in the music of his language any time I get bored with staring at a cream coloured wall....
