Stickin' together I see.   I will say this, you blow that quit, we're gonna haul ourselves to Texas and whack you with those clubs!!  If you keep it strong (which I know you will) then we'll let you slide on the early reward.

Just don't make your wife a golfer's widow!!!

Mike, I think your new golf clubs are not only a fantastic one year reward but they are also medically necessary to improve your health.  You want to lose some weight in 2009, and golfing is a wonderful way to get in shape.  Walking, carrying your clubs, building upper body strength while driving and putting, bending down to pick up your golf ball, and maybe even swimming in a pond to reach a golf ball that went into a water hazard?    So please justify this advanced reward as medically necessary to help with your 2009 resolutions.  Just be sure that you don't let the new clubs sit in the basement like so many home treadmills and other equipment!  I expect you to be on the golf course at LEAST once a week!

okay , we all know that rewarding yourself is one of the funnest thing about quitting , and it's motivational keeping your eye on the prize.

but can we justify an advanced reward ? i hope so , goofy are you out here ? i need a golfer on my side for this pal.

my one year anniversary for quitting is march 12th so i rewarded myself early with a new set of
cleveland cg gold irons , 3 thru pw , steel shaft , stiff flex.

i have in effect put the pressure on myself to finish the race , get that one year soon , or i'm gonna have to eat those
golf clubs !

anyone want to tee it up on this week's train ride ?
