Usually, if there is something wrong, you are called in right away. If I were in your shoes and paying for services
as we all do when we visit the doctor, I would call the office again in the morning and say exactly what you just said in your post. Tell them that waiting is freaking you out a little, and that you want your appointment when it was originally intended if not sooner. If they have the results, then there is absolutely no reason to make you wait. There are plently of nice ways to convey this message, but basically the bottom line is that you are paying them to provide services. They aren't doing you a favor by giving you an appointment-- you deserve an appointment when you call to make one unless they are otherwise booked up. If they can't get you in sooner, then request that the doctor give you a call as soon as he is able.
Two cents and not sure how much it's worth. I've been there with friends waiting for results and I've really become a huge patient adovacate.

I know it is hard, but try not to think. I don't know, but I think that if the tests were not good, your doctor would set an earlier appt. Thats what doctors in Mexico do. I know that your system is different, I've visited doctors there, but I think that if a really serious issue emerges in a test, they will get you an appt asap.
So please think that you ar close to boarding the ship!! I will be out of town and unable to post, but I will be handing you the margaritas!
Take care.

So I went for all my breathing tests yesterday, and was told that the results would be to my doctor within a week. I figured that I would need to give my doctor a call in a few days to setup a followup. Today I got a call that the doctor wants to see me in 2 to 3 weeks. I asked if I could just schedule next week since I had breathing tests and they should be in next week. I was told that they already had the breathing tests, and that is why they are scheduling the appointment. Am I reading too much into this? I am a bit paranoid, and I have to wait until June 1 to find out...
