Which Cigarette?

for 15 år siden 0 639 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
My hardest was work-related.  I loved to fire one off upon completion of a significant project.  The problem, however, is the addiction began to justify nearly everything as 'significant'.  After years simply reading or sending an email became 'significant' enough.

Now I take a walk around the facility or the parking lot when I find myself stuck in that position where I stand up and reach into my pocket for a lighter.

Freedom is not free but so worth the price!!!!!

Keep the Quit,

Dave

Pen:
The toughest one for me was the first one in the morning.  I used to have a smoke and a coffee then take my shower.  I avoided this by getting up and jumping right in to the shower.  After a refreshing shower I did not want to stink of cigarettes.

Which cigarette was the hardest one for you to crack?

I believe that if you overcome the hardest, the others during the day definitely become more manageable and less of a strain on body and mind. Attack the addiction at its strength and it will be weakened quicker than you realise. Well, that is my experience.

For me, the hardest cigarette to avoid was most definitely the one that is lit automatically with a lovely pint of beer in the socially convivial atmosphere of the pub. My God it was tough and during the early days of my quit I continually fought tooth and nail to not light up under those conditions but whenever I left the pub a winner (which was every time!) I knew that other triggers throughout the day would not pose the same problems. This I found to be very liberating and immensely reassuring to my quit.

Which cigarette was the hardest one for you to crack? And how did you manage it?
