Mike - you have boldly taken this train where no train has ever gone before.  Thanks for the great escapes from reality and the diversion from smoking.  It is fun getting to travel and meet new non-smoking partners along our journey.

Thanks again for your Southern hospitality!

Dave

Mike:
There will be a retirement party in the bar car.  It will be hard living up to your creativity and insite but I will give it my best. The trips that you arranged were thoughtful and interesting.  Great job.  Every one please attend the retirement party as Mike retires from the conductor's job.  I look forward to leading you all on a many great trips during my 1 year gig.

Thank you Mike for all that you have done for us, you are a true asset to this site.

grab a non-smoking friend and ALL ABOARD THIS WEEKS TRIP TO TEXAS!

well 1 year ago goofy tossed me the keys to this train , i have truly loved leading you guys all over the world to share and embrace our non-smoking success . but this is historically a 1 year gig , so i now pass the baton to kaiser , a really great quitter.
i chose texas for my last trip as conductor because i want to welcome you to my home. the quitters here are like family , so welcome to texas and my home in katy , just a little west of houston.

while you're here we're gonna bar-b-q briscuit , chicken ,sausage , steak and quail . let's go see NASA, the gulf of galveston , the beautiful texas hill country , the LBJ ranch , the piney woods of east texas and the rugged beauty west in big band.

please enjoy my home , it's yours too now. and kaiser , i'll enjoy this trip and look forward to where ever you lead us next week.
a special thanks to Jim for the phone call last week , you're the best my man.

by the way , have you guys ever heard the willie nelson'waylon jennings song "let's go to luckenbach , texas" ?
that's exactly where my wife and i are in the picture.

god bless you , welcome to my home.
