Mr. Ed

Thank you for taking the time come by and celebrate with me...I am always awed by the facts of your contributions to this site...I imagine that there are some folks who do not know that you take on the tabulation of the statistics on as a personal contribution.  It has really become a bed rock feature of the site and I thank you for your efforts...I do like the hat as well...

Thank you, yes some folks would call us crazy for starting a quit at the holiday time.  And in retrospect perhaps it is abit rash, now that I realize how difficult this particular season can be.  However maybe it is best to do the hardest things first...That is a bit of wisdom I recall hearing from my GrandMother years ago...Perhaps she was correct...

So good to hear from you again...I miss seeing that little donkey every now and again.  Thank you for remembering my little anniversary...I tell you truly there was a time when I thought that quitting was not something I could do.  But with the help of this site and the comradeship of kind folks such as yourself...I am...And that is a very good thing indeed...

Thank you for your kind words...I am very pleased that you enjoyed my little garden story.  Thank you for taking the time to share it with your child, that is high praise indeed.

I don't believe I know anything more than anyone else, but I do believe that it is helpful to share one's experience with others who are going through the same difficulty.  Cessation is a a worthy goal.  In many ways it is a statement that we make.  And what we say in that declaration is that we are worth it, we are valuable to ourselves and all the people in our lives who love us.  So if cessation is a struggle, let it be.  The struggle won't last forever, but the benefits gained from the actions we take will...

I hope that you are doing well with your quit.

Nonic,

Total respect for you.  I am not sure if enjoy is the correct or the word deserved for all of you poem, quotes, stories and word of encouragement you leave behind when you make your appereance here.  Is has happen a few times when you send some words of encourgament to others I fell like this person really knows what he is talkng about.  Your story/poem about the garden really hit home for me.  Just had to go back & read it to my youngest daughter & husband.   As you can tell it really touch a cord with me.

Again total respect & looking forward to more of your know knoledge.

So glad you had what sounds like a great trip home.  You inspired me yet again, I booked myself (just myself) on a whirlwind cross country family visit in Feb.  May do me well to have that 'time away', methinks it's needed at the mo.  But aside from stopping smoking, absence makes the heart grow fonder as they say.  I'll think of you my next cuppa.
