Hi everyone, just a note to let you know why I have been absent, I was taken into hospital Christmas Day with double pneumonia and a blood infection. I am being nursed at home now after being allowed home yesterday.
To anyone who has looked in here to see about quitting in the new year, let me just say, that my illness was so severe, if I had still been a smoker I doubt I would have made it through, to be gasping for breath as a non smoker was terrifying enough. I dread to think how lungs clogged with tar and other rubbish would have coped.
I was on an acute respitory ward, and shame on some of the patients, who, even though extremely sick with lung diseases of all types managed to drag themselves to the ward bathrooms to smoke, I guess thats the power of addiction- how sad.
So guys I am still not myself, so I may not be too regular for a while, but I will be back as soon as I am firing on all cylinders, its my 600 days tomorrow I notice, so that cheered me up anyway, my love and best wishes for a happy healthy and smoke free new year to you all- Karren xx
