MM would want all of us to be having a laugh to celebrate her wonderful contribution to the SSC and her life. She had that message of humor that we all so need weather we are quitting an addiction or we just need the companionship of a friend.  There are many memories of contributions Miss Marple made on this forum but some of the highlights I loved:
Her real ship cruise that she had not done in ages in which she was going to really go out and have fun and make some darn good rum drinks and get those Cabana Boys on the ship to keep her happy.
Being a detective she needed to learn the language of the gangs on her "Gang Reteat" so that meant that all those bathrooms had to have mirrors to show her @$$. That's gang speak (as in looking at your back side in the mirror). And what about her menopause of growing Men's hair, there never was a dull moment in the life of MM.
The best of what I admired was her ability to turn any comment into something really funny that we all loved, even when we were in the mist of quitting a very ugly habit such as nicotine addiction.

My heart is broken reading this, what sad news.  MM was one of the toughest people I've ever seen on here, bound and determined to stay quit and ever so generous with her personal story to try and help everyone else do the same.  We have lost an SSC angel to God, may he seat her near him.  Love to her family and close friends.

I was so sad this morning to read of Karen's death on Facebook.  She had a relatively short time from hearing her diagnosis until the end, but with ther usual feistiness, she continued fighting throughout.
I think of her husband and family now, and wish them strength and courage to overcome the next difficult time.

So Sorry to hear of Karen's passing! She had such a wonderful sense of humor and was a great help to me when I quit.( I knew her then as Gonnadoit!) She is just another example of why quitting is so important. My heart goes out to her hubby and kids! We will miss you Karen!

My heart aches at the loss of Miss M.....her humor, openness and honesty also helped me through the tenuous early days of my quit.  Thank you for being such a great role model.

I have been reading older posts and see that today makes her one-year anniversary on the Freedometer.

While we would prefer to have her here with us....she is forever free of pain and suffering.

Fly free, little angel.

I am so sad.
She was an inspiration to me. She was one of the funniest, kind and giving persons I have met. She kept me dsmoke free during the first stages of my quit. I will miss her.
She is in a better place now.
