Personally Tipu, I wouldn't bother. There is plenty of material out there which is freely available and besides, the last thing I wanted when I was a smoker was a preacher in my face. I knew I was doing wrong, I didn't need anyone to tell me. You cannot make someone quit; they must come to that conclusion and do it for themselves, when they are ready.
It's a noble idea but I think your current effort should be all about making your quit stick and getting the days under your belt!
I know that there are several links here on the forums that contain videos similar to what you wrote about. You could also probably do a Google search on "quit smoking videos". I know that there are a lot of them out there and you may not need to make one of your own. You might want to check with larea hospitals that have smoking cessation programs where you could volunteer your services. There are many avenues for you to consider.
Thanks all. Today was the first day when i totally forgot I have pain in chest or stomach since there was no pain at all. I am also drinking half liter of milk instead every day.
Lastly, I need few suggestions from you: How can i stop people i know, like my colleagues from smoking? I mean what is the most effective way to persuade them not to smoke? I am thinking to make some video on it. Like show people what actually smoking do to our lungs, heart and other stuff. A video which will create kind of horror and hate in themselves for smoking. I plan to go in every university in my area and show them this video on projector. What do you say?
Thats it friends. I believe rest of my life will go smoke free. Thanks for your support. I believe in myself that i will never ever touch anything which will make me high. Take care!
I'm happy to hear that your health is improving daily and that you are maintaining your great quit! By staying on a regular regimen of healthy eating and by increasing your exercise, you are going to turn into a new healthy you! Don't forget to reward yourself for reaching new milestones! The really help you to keep a great attitude about remaining quit!
You seem to have a handle on this quitting! I love your positivity and determination. You are young enough to really change your life. As Penitent said earlier on, you must want to quit for yourself....Guard this quit of yours with your life, as your life is what matters.
21st February, 2014: Stopped taking pain-killers and started to take juices and a regular walk of 1 mile after lunch and 2 miles after dinner. Stomach still hurts, that's why i never stopped taking medicines for stomach.
22nd February 2014: Chest pains are 90% gone. Now fighting stomach pains. Bananas, walk, water and juices are my current medicines.
Next week plan: Increase stamina I have lost because of smoking. Guys for like 3 years, I had office job (btw i still have it) and my routine never included walk but it was: Sleep -> Go to office -> Lunch -> Back to office -> Home -> Dinner -> Sleep
When you quit, you have to want to quit for yourself! You have to own your quit and do everything you can to protect it and if you want your freedom more than you want to smoke, you will succeed! Keep on taking it one day at a time and be sure to take it easy and let your body heal! Part of quitting is allowing your body time to heal. Exercise is fine in moderation, but try not over do it. By the way... water is great for continuing to flush the chemicals from your body!
