To me, this is essentially what we are doing as we go through the process of over-coming alcohol abuse and getting past the challenges, setting ourselves free of addiction.
That little quote is very true when you take the time to think about it. We, I mean me, keep on doing the same error, thinking this time will be different while it is always a repetition, a routine of what I have been doing wrong since my early 20's.

Over the years of my battle with alcoholism, this quote has always made an appearance in my thought process. Obviously, having it only as a thought is not nearly enough as I have succumb to my ego and convinced myself that 'This time things will be different." on countless occasions.
So far, on this journey in sobriety, when the urge to drink has presented itself, my egocentric persona has been subdued with a clearer understanding of such a basic notion that Einstein putforth to us. It's amazing how the simplest answer can be so difficult to adhere to when your ego is in control.
1 month sober today. Stay on point everybody, it can only get better.
