No, the only time I did something remotely similar was a colonoscopy. They put you to sleep and then use a camera to go look into your colon and in testines. I guess you know where they input the camera >.< ... Anyway, I got through that fine and was actually really greatful they put me to sleep first lol. But my stepdad and an endoscopy doen and he said it was a piece of cake. Said it went really well and that he wasn't scared at all. I think you will be just fine for the endoscopy. I figure if I can be put to sleep so they can use cameras to look at one end I am sure you can do it too for the other end :P I believe in you and the fact that you can do this :) As for the Nexium am so glad it is helping you :) It helps me tremendously too :) Anyway, have a nice day! And keep me posted :) -Diva

Diva, It has helped tremendously. I am sooo thankful for it. Now they want to do an endoscopy where they will put me to sleep and go down my throat and look at my stomach but I am too scared to do it right now. I hate being put to sleep and I am really worried about that but they said they really need to do it to figure out the problem so they can fix it. Have you ever had that done? ~Isabella~

Danielle, I have talked to my doctor and they prescribed me birth control pills but we have found that they seem to make matters worse for me, especially with my existing high blood pressure. He also recommended a SSRI to take with it but I am afraid of meds like antidepressants so that option was out for me. They have said for me to watch my diet and to exercise atleast 3 times a week to ease the symptoms and that was that. I have been exercising more than 3 times per week and am slowly getting better but there is still one week where I have intense anxiety and other physical symptoms. Anyways, thanks for listening and,as always, your advice and concern is greatly appreciated. ~Isabella~

Isabella, Have you talked to your gynocologist? Many women experience increased anxiety as well as other symptoms as their cycle progresses. There may be other options for you to help you specifically with this time of the month. Danielle ______________________ The PC Support Team

I wish I had your bravery. I'm only 19 and I go to college away from home so i need to get rid of this ASAP. I'm on 10 mg of lexapro and I'm actually starting to feel better, but I also go to a therapist for cognitive behavioral therapy, which helps a lot too. I've learned that you just need to welcome the panic and don't try to avoid it. It's like riding a wave. The more you think about the symptoms the more they will actually happen. I've also read a great book that helped a lot. It's call 10 simple solutions to panic. The author in Antony (last name).

They prescribed me 10mg. once a day. I do really want to get better I just want to do it naturally and on my own. I was prescribed the lexapro months ago but since then I have gotten better on my own. I have been going out alone, going shopping alone, taking bike rides with my son alone, and haven't had a panic attack(a full blown one) in months. It is just that around my "time of the month" I have very high anxiety and feel absolutely horrible. I am very motivated to get better and regain control of my life for the sake of not only myself, but most importantly my son. Thanks for keeping me posted. If I happen to regress and if the panic attacks return, I am going on the meds for sure! Thanks! ~Isabella~

I believe that if you have the motivation to get better you will take the medicine. I was really scared, but I really wanted to get better, so I just did it. It's completely up to you, but today is actually the first day I've felt alright in a while and i just started taking it a couple weeks ago! How many mg did they prescribe you? I will keep you updated on the process as I continue takin the meds! Good luckk

That is great!! Keep us posted and let us know if it starts to help you in any way. I still haven't started taking it yet and it was prescribed several months ago LOL. As you can see, I have a fear of meds and it stops me from taking pretty much everything including tylenol, motrin, cold meds, lexapro, and nexium. I am trying to get better at it. Anyways, I am happy that you are taking all the right steps to getting better. I hope it does wonders for you! Keep us posted. ~Isabella~

Hello, I'm new here, but I recently started taking lexapro and there aren't any side effects that have affected me. The doctor told me that lexapro is one of the best tolerated drugs and most people don't experience any side effects at all. I've heard only good things about this drug. I was extremely afraid to take it at first, but I did it and it didn't harm me in any way!
