Hi Diva, Sorry I did not reply sooner this new job is keeping me busy. Diva I know exactly how you feel. I get so tired of dealing with the anxiety that I get neglectful too. Sometimes I don't take the time to do all that I need to to stay on track. You work so hard on yourself then you are always there for the rest of us. You are a good person Diva and inspiration to us all. We all have times where we don't do all that we should be doing but thats ok. You realized you were not taking care of yourself and came back in here to re-focus. Keep up the good work and be kind to yourself!!!!!

Diva, remember how far you've come !! And as for being disappointed in yourself, you're always the first to welcome new people to this site, and give advice when you can, I think that counts for an awful lot !! You will complete your studies and get up to date, I know you will, you have that gritty determination that most people wish they had !!! Just sitting down quietly and writing out a small programme of homework might just be the focus you need, but break it up into little pieces so its not to mammoth !! And don't forget those all important breaks !! Be kind to yourself, I am pretty sure no-one is disappointed with you, except you, so stop it, you are doing brilliantly !!!

Pet, Absolutely! Much better to absorb and grab hold of the information and skills in each session then to hurry through them. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Hi guys. Thanks for all your advice, encouragement and comments. I find them very helpful :) As for the question of how long one should take for the program I think that is very personnal. I ended up taking way longer then 12 weeks and I still try to get some exercises done so I consider myself as still learning. So don't sweat it :) Take the time you need :) -Diva

Hey Pet, Well at least you did your exposure work, right? Good for you! There's nothing wrong with it taking longer than 12 weeks to complete the program. I think they even say something like that in the introductin to the program. Try to do some paperwork if you can next week. I've found it really helpful for my improvement. Maybe you could print out the forms ahead of time and have them in a place you would see them frequently. I keep the exposure work forms in my purse and take them with me when I do my exposure. Also, it's nice to look back at the paperwork to see all that I've accomplished. Good work and good luck :-)

Hi Diva, Sounds like you're doing great (though you might not feel like it!!). Why not take a minute to give yourself a pat on the back. Consider where you started. As for the homework, how far behind are you? How much work is to be done? When I was in college, I used to work myself into a frenzy about how behind I was...but I didn't do anything about it. So of course, the anxiety got worse and worse!! If you are in fact behind and your anxiety isn't totally playing tricks on you, then maybe make a written "action plan". Figure out what you need to do and when you will do it. Trust me-you'll feel a lot more in control. Take care.

Diva, We are our harshest critics! It is a good idea to try to keep up with good habits you've laid down for yourself such as walking, cutting back on caffeine, etc... But don't worry about the homework. If you're in a good place and your anxiety is still under control, keep up your habits and take a break. You can always continue the program once you have a little more time and the strategies you've learned are always at your disposal. Like, thought challenging ;) Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Well, Off I go to the therapist. I feel stupid for feeling anxious. I think I need to stop putting so much pressure on myself. But I really am quite behind on things...Bleh! Makes me anxious. Anyway, off I go! -Diva
