I've picked up whittling this school year. Don't ask me why! I was at WalMart and saw a little bag of bass wood and a box of knives real cheap and just bought it! I am not real good, but it is fun! My sister tells me I must be an 80 year old man in disguise (I'm a woman in my 20s)! Hahaha. I really enjoy painting my carvings, too. It's very relaxing. I try not to do homework or anything on sundays and just do relaxing things like that all afternoon.
P.S.: If you want to pick this hobby up, it's a good idea to get some good gloves so you don't cut yourself! Mine have saved my fingers from harm a few times now!
Hi Diva!
I'm so sorry I haven't responded. I was not online much yesterday.
But i think this is such a fantastic post.

-sing
-bake!
-design
-Read inspiring books
Hope to see you on cbt buddies soon!!!
Thanks for your great ideas!
I found out this morning that doing a simple culinary project with no pressure put on yourself as to how good, fancy it has to be or when it has to be done for can be quite relaxing. Now, i must warn you i don't know how scientific this observation is since i figured this out making Jell-O. But I wanted Jell-O to go without having to pay extra just because they package it in little cups! So I made my own! Now my dessert is sitting nicely in the fridge setting in such a way that it will be ready to go in lunches in no time and quite easily. But it was nice doing it. 1- I felt clever for figuring out how to make this dessert highly mobile lol 2- It was mostly just the rituals and the smell. I love the smell of cherry and raspberry. Smells like candy. I think i will try something a bit more elaborate next time but still simple so it isn't stressful like maybe a nice homecooked pudding. I used to make those a lot and as they cook the whole house smells so good. But I find this only works if you have all the time in the world, no pressure to get it right and you don't really care how good it comes out lol But i thought i would throw it out there as another way to distract and relax one's Self :)
