summer storms are here

HI,  a lot of people I know love storms,  I wish I could feel that way, it would make my life so much easier.  Tomorrow, they say its maybe going to get severe, there is a big threat.  I am so worried already, I know it can change at the last minute, the weather is hard to predict.  I asked my hubby to work from home tmorrow and he said he cant, so i'll go over to my neighbours if it looks very bad.
I dont like doing that, but i'm not good alone when its very bad. My friends i used to work with would open the windows wide and watch the weather, i get terrified, tho sometimes i get brave and look, other times I just try not to freak out.

Hi Breanna, I told my friend i will go back and have tea there,  and maybe do a couple of stores next time.  She said that would be fine.  She seems really understanding, and fun.

Minnesota,

Great work! Make sure you are keeping a journal to record yoru exposure exercises and how you felt before, during and after them. keep track of your progress and watch as it gets easier and easier. Push yourself to continue to do exposure exercises.

I also love gladiator, hunky Russel crowe, easy on the eyes.  I go to lots of stores,  I just find malls overwhelming. Especially the big ones, that mall is very very big.!!
I went next door for a half an hour and came home, just vegging online, trying not to take a nap...
of course you can call me minnie, its sweet:)

Hi there Minnie (if you dont like me calling you that please say and i wont ) .

First of all Bravo . That was one heck of a trip . What a wonderful friend to have , that must have made you feel an insy bit better . What i can tell you is that i was like that a few months ago . I was terrible going to shops . But i make myself do it most days now , i do live close to them luckily 10-30 minute walk at the most . It is getting easier and im lasting much longer when im in there . I do find that its best to go first thing in the morning as well .For one thing its less busy , the other im not so bad .

Going next door would be what i would do as well , less chance of brooding on things . Better to have a nice chat and a cuppa i think .

Maximus wow , superb name . Reminds me of one of my favourite movies Gladiator awwwwwwwwwwww .

Very proud of you

Hi guys, took the bus this morning with my friend Dee, and we took a 45 min ride to the mall, we had a tea, and then started walking around and  I got suddenly really dizzy, and a bit panicky. So we sat down and then we decided to walk a bit. I just had to get out of there, once I got out, we still had to kill about 1/2 an hour.  So we walked outside the mall for that time, and then we got the bus home.
The bus ride was 45 mins home, so we talked and i tried to remain calm, couldnt dash home, as I was on the bus, so it wasnt too bad.  I went to her house for tea and then came home.  I felt bad, but she says her mom has anxiety, so I musnt worry, she had seen this with her mom.  She was very understanding, and I was thankful for that.  We didnt get to the movie.  I think that mall is very overwhelming for anyone, it has 3 levels and is very noisy.  I find that lots of loud noise or bright lights makes my anxiety worse.  Anyway, i'm just happy I got to the mall and even just had some tea, and made googoo eyes at the cutest baby, found out his name was maximus, big name for a little thing like that:)  I feel pretty tired..i think i might not nap but go next door for a bit, :)

Hi Minn...

Great job on your walk.. I love walking in the evenings and taking a "peek" into lovely homes as well.  Where I live is a beach community with lots of beautiful homes with fantastic views... and they are always building more.. lol... Although we live among the wealthy we aren't one of them.. ha ha!!  Just fortunate enough to have lucked out.

I have to say it's too bad the storms are so terrifying for you.  I am a storm lover.. lightening, thunder.. the whole thing.. and we have an ocean view and I love to watch the crazy waves etc.  For us though on the west coast storms are rarely a danger nor destructive so that's probably the difference.

I think you're very brave though and have fun at the movies!

At least I dont look onto a house, but a big open space, so no one will see me dancing in circles..
Today I was a bit nervous, as they said on the weather SEVERE weather, and that word just makes me freak out.  I decided to take a walk in the morning before the rain and be brave.  I went past my friends house, and she said she was busy, but then she said "oh i'd love to walk". So we went to an area I dont normally walk with lovely houses, then she came to my place and we had tea, and I had forgotten about the weather.  We sat and chatted for a few hours, and she left.  I checked the weather again..and now they say the rain is coming later, and we might have heavy downpours, but nothing major.   So I was glad I went out and didnt sit waiting for the weather again...grrr..
Later this week she suggested we go to a movie at the Mall of America, which is huge and I havent been there without my hubby before, so I"m looking forward to going there with her and seeing a movie, that will be a new thing for me.
