Interesting idea.. I've heard of that, but filed it under all of the other never-happened prognostications out there, like the other end-of-the-world predictions.
Calendars are an invention of man... the Earth knows nothing of a calendar, other than the sun rises and sets every day. Nothing to worry about...
I don't believe that the world will end in 2012, and if you do well then you should allow your belief to motivate you to start living your life to the fullest. Bottom line, "the world ends, for those who die".
no i don't think the world will end in 2012...there might be a spiritual event unfolding. But i'm sure the world wont end.
Besides i have been going through a spiritual awakening which is sometimes involves anxiety & panic attacks and sensitivity to your environment. Always know there's always a reason for everything.
Since i'm dealing with this panic dissorder i happened to stop smoking, drinking alcohol and becoming very healthy. So if we look at the bright side and try to see that maybe this dissorder is trying to tell us something we can even advance. But only if we look at it from a positive agle.
Ive also heard loads of these stories, not long ago they said it was going to end cause they said it was gonna be the big black hole or summat along those lines, nothing happened, its just people making up stuff to get people worried
What everyone stated before me is my thought on the issue. There will always be someone out there who tries to take advantage of us through our "blind spots", like con-men. Though I love figuring these things out, and no 2012 isn't the end of the world. It's based on the Aztecan calendar system, and astrology.
Basically, the stars go around in a pattern, same way the earth rotates around the sun. I forget the exact details, but basically every 100,000 years or so, the stars are in the same spot they were 100,000 years ago. The Aztecs had their own religion to go with the calendar system, and they incorporated their religion into it saying it would be the end of the world.
Nothing too big really. We just get to see the stars the way our ancestors saw them.
