Hi Mickeylover:  You bet, we do care and pls. post and let us know how things are going.  I used to be embarassed about my panic attacks too.  So glad this site allows us to write about our feelings without fear of being ridiculed or judged.  We're  in this together.  We do understand.  We may be in different stages of healing but we've been there.  Glad you trust us and opened up to us.  We are here to support you, anytime.

Thank you everyone you made me cry to read how I do have good friends here that will help me move on. My friends do not understand what I go through and I'm ashamed to tell anyone of my Panic attacks. And this is the only place that I can say anything and nobody judges me.

Hi Mickeylover,

Your post touched me. I do not believe that grieving should be done all alone. Reach out, keep reaching out and expressing how you feel at this time. It takes time to grieve. It really does. My anxiety ramped up after losses of important people too. It is hard to go through this but you are not alone. Google 'grief' or 'grieving process' and you will find many pages to read and hopefully find some comfort like I have via that avenue.

Hello Mickeylover:  Sorry to hear of your recent loss.  Sounds like she meant a lot to you.  She must have been a wonderful grandmother.  She will always be with you, in your heart.  She is a part of you.  Maybe writing down everything you know about her, a kind of tribute, would be helpful.  Often I have heard people say how they wish they had written things down so they could remember.  I wrote things about my Dad and saved his military photos.  My brother lives in an RV and travels so he doesn't have the room.  As Red mentions in her post, I think a grief support group might be a good idea.  Post anytime you want, we care.  Take good care of yourself.
Your friend, Sunny

Mickeylover,

I was reading your post about your loss of your beloved grandmother.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I have lost my grandparents, parents, and my husband over the last several years.  In answer to your question about what to do to help you with your grief.  I can only tell you what I have done.  I found a grief group in the beginning and went to group meeting once a week for a year.  This helped me a great deal to understand my grief and what I was going through. Hospice, some hospitals  and churches, have grief group all over the country you can go to.  The these groups really helped me. Then I spent 2 yrs getting my health back which I am still working on.  Next I found this program here and started working on my anxiety and I also in the depression center they have here. I started in the depression center.  Which helped a lot and then moved onto the Panic center.  I still refer back to the depression from time to time.  I really think working the programs here has helped me deal with my grief and the other issues I had like anxiety and depression.  I have now been able to get to the final stage of my grief and reintegrate new people and activities into my life.  All of these programs have played a part in my journey.  I am coming out on the other side of grief and enjoying my life again.  Grieving is a process and it takes time and everyone does it in their own way and in their own time.  One think I can tell you for sure is, that it does get better with time.

My heart goes out to you,

Davit,

Yes I really do think that my previous negative belief was false!! I have proven it to myself with the exposure I have been doing. This is a really good feeling.  I think the dream was about the anger I felt at the way I was treated in the past.  I walked away from the situation and swore I would never go back.  I feel I have faced this anger and I am winning.  I have come back and I am in class and I am enjoying learning again.  Yes I am right and yes the exposure reinforces that feeling.  I do belief in myself and that is something that no one or nothing can take away from me now.  Yes I am right and the negative core belief is wrong.   I have prepared myself for this sewing class by taking a class on using your new machine last Saturday.  I was ahead of most people in the class because I studied my manual for the machine and have been using the machine every day and learning new things about its operation.  I am very mechanically inclined.  I also bought myself a dvd on beginning quilting which I received in the mail yesterday and have studied that also.  Yes I am prepared and I am ready for my new class.  The dragon is dyeing and I am winning.  I am also dealing with my grief over the loss of my mother and many other in my life. I am moving on and forward with my life in a very positive way.  All of this would not have been possible without this program and all of the wonderful people in this support group......

Thank you for your help and friendship Davit.  I will never forget this or you for as long as I live.

Very close. I am your friend remember. You have to convince yourself that what you believe with the negative core belief was not true. ( your belief, not the negative core belief, it is the stimulant ). Do you really really believe it is false? It is. Now you have to believe that what you want to believe is true. ( again your belief in yourself, do you really believe it ) this will build the positive core belief that buries the negative one. The classes will reinforce your belief in yourself and at the same time burying the negative core belief farther. As long as you believe in yourself and that you really do believe it is true. You know the negative core belief was false and I know it was, so use the exposure now to prove it is true. Use it to "believe" it is true and that negative core belief will fade with your belief in yourself. And so will every core belief associated with it.
Go to the class believing that you are right and use the class to prove it. But go knowing you are right, don't wait till you get there. You are right aren't you and the negative core belief is wrong.

Here for you,
your friend
Davit.

I too have been remembering the past and thinking about my mother. We used to sew together when I was 14 years old.  I have been missing her and wishing I could call her up and we could talk like we used to.  She passed away 4 years ago.  Taking this new sewing class has me thinking about her and it was hard in the beginning walking into the class knowing she was no longer here to talk to.  I am hoping to meet some new people in my new class to share my love of sewing with.
I did have some bad dreams last night about going to school when I was young.  I really didn't like school and the teachers could be very mean, especially if they tell you how stupid you are and such, in front of a whole class.  I have changed this negative core belief by taking some classes over the last few months.  I have found out I am really very smart and a quick learner and that the teachers seem to like me and so do the other students.... No sure why I had the dream. One thing I do know is that I am going to get rid of this negative core belief again when I start my new class.  I do enjoy the classes.
I think that maybe you just have to repeat the exposure a few times to make it stick and keep reinforcing the positives......
in your life and about your self.

That my take on it?  Whats yours?

Thank you very much. You know opening up one's self and being there for others can be a bit hard especially in these busy times. But I can see it work. I am a better person for it, we are better people for it and it really is not just a gimmick. I really do care. I want every one to be panic free and feel this good. For those of us that had excess anxiety all our life it is a revelation to feel this good. And to think there are people that have always lived this way. Amazing!

Here for ever
here for us.
