Thank you for all your kind advice. I made it through 5 hrs of being alone. That was encouraging. But I still wonder why I am a little nervous about tomorrow. What if today was just a good day? Thanks, Summer

Hi.

I rather like being alone. I'm not totally alone, I have cats. The first day I spent alone was tough but it slowly grew on me. Just my nature I guess. Now I value every minute I can be alone.

Hi, Yes it is tomorrow already. :( ... I have made it about an hour so far. I like the idea of coloring. I've always loved to color. And that would be really fun to try and draw blindfolded. :) unfortunately I am awful at drawing but I still like to do it. I was also thinking I might read a little as that is relaxing. I was thinking of baking a cake and practicing some spanish. Thank you for your support and ideas. Talking like this seems to help me a little so thank you again. Summer

HI:  Those are great ideas.  One idea which really takes concentration is blindfolding yourself and drawing a picture of what you think you look like.  Can be hilarious! or can be perceptive.  Try it for fun.

how are you doing, is it tomorrow there yet? I was thinking if you have a pet bring it inside with you, talk to it pat it, its another life (i like to do this) open your door so you can get fresh air in the house, phone a friend, have a nap, play a card game and this might sound crazy but colour in or draw a picture, you will be concentrating on what you are doing and not thinking so much about your situation, when you get through the day pat yourself on the back for doing so well, and we are here to chat to you if you need us

I usually try to distract myself or keep myself busy. And if I start to feel panicky I just try and talk myself down in my head. Or I try and do an activity with someone that is home with me. I just feel more comfortable knowing someone is there. I'm nervous to have an attack alone. I just started the program and also bought a workbook. So I'm not very far along. I read that a panic attack will not cause me to faint but I still get nervous that ill be alone and faint. I'm just afraid I won't distract myself well enough and ill end up giving myself a panic attack. And Chay thank you for the positive statement :) it makes me feel better. Summer 7

What do you normally do that helps? Are you doing the program? Tomorrow might be a good day to work on it to keep your mind busy. What other options do you have for not being alone tomorrow? Perhaps you can regain a sense of control by taking charge of how you deal with tomorrow...?
