I need some help if everyone would not mind. Last night or early this morning rather I had a very scary episode, before I tell you I had the same episode a year and a half ago BEFORE I was suffering from panic and I went to the hospital so that gives me some comfort. About 5:30 this morning I started having bad stomach pain upper like that was radiating to my back up my neck acutally to my jaw and neck! I thought it was a heart attack, I have NEVER experienced panic like that never those symptoms, it lasted about 30-40 minutes and finally subsided, I wanted to go to ER but my husband got upset and said "you are fine go back to sleep" the pain was very bad and scary, my heart rate was only 83 so that gave me some small comfort.
As I said this exact same thing happened to me year and half ago, and the next day I went to urgent care they did a electrocardigram, even through it was normal they sent me to ER where I had another Electrogram, blood work, CT scan etc........they even gave me nitoglycrin, asprin, and other tests they said I did NOT have a heat attack or was having one, I asked them why I had that terrible pain like a heart attack, I asked what was wrong, and they "we dont know" I hate to go back to ER today and go through all those expensive painful tests to be told "we dont know" and the symptoms of the bad pain have thankfully stopped, I am just very very shaken, the pain was awful, scary and I knew it was not panic related.
My question is has any other members experienced anything like this, terrible stomach pain, back pain, short of breath, pain in teeth and jaw? It went away and last time as I said I had numerous tests and it was not heart related they said, could gas pain cause this, I often heard "bad gas or indigestion can mimic a heart attack" I think I would of probably called 911 last night if I had not had this before, now I am afraid maybe it was a heart attack, I would almost feel better if I knew it was a panic attack at least those will not kill you, this pain was terrible and scary, I hope it was just gas like last time I had it.
Today through I am very shaken by it, my heart now IS racing and I feel very nervous, I dont know what happened to me this morning and its making me very nervous and anxious, I remember last time this happened the hospital the tests all that time and nothing was wrong, can gas really do this? I am sorry I am scared I cannot explain what happened, and even if I go to the ER now, after the fact, I know they wont find anything, and say "we dont know". I dont want to start obessing about my heart now and heart attacks, that is the last thing my nerves need, has anyone ever experienced this kind of pain out of the blue and not panic? The only comfort I am holding on to right now is that I said I had this once before, had every test and nothing was wrong, or so they said, I am sure they would of found it. How can I get past this, stop worrying about my heart and go on, I was doing better and I so do not want to setback, the pain was terrible last night and scary, has anyone ever had it and what was it if not panic?
