Nightmares and Panic Attacks

Hi Kaitie!

Sometimes we get snow in Southern Maryland in the U.S.  My parents are in Florida, so they're under the aircon :)  I used to live in New York State and we got tons of snow.  One time we parked our station wagon across the street from my Grandmother's Farm.  It snowed right when we arrived and continued to snow all day.  When we were ready to leave, we went across the street and our car was gone!  Then I stomped on the ground and heard metal and said, "Our car wasn't stolen, it's buried under this pile of snow!"  We all laughed and spent the night at my Grandma's.

Re: the avatar picture, it's one of those things that I do on automatic pilot, like driving without know street names, so let me post this and go through the process, write down the steps for you and I'll come back and post them, okay?  :)

It feels so surreal that you are all cooking soup and trying to stay warm, while I'm sitting under the aircon because it's a scorching summer's day outside :)

Do you guys get snow where you live? It doesn't get cold enough here, so I've never even seen snow :(

Hugs, I don't think you're making life harder by doing your own baking. There's nothing better than bread you've baked fresh yourself :)

As a side note, how do you change your avatar picture? I'm a silly sausage and can't work it out haha.

Hi Hugs,

That's okay.  I'll have to walk tomorrow to make up for my large caramel frappuccino I had today.  My throat was still scratchy this morning from the head cold I had.  The icy slushy coffee was a great panacea

Hi Shari,
I'd better squeeze in a workout, since I ate 3 1/2 cups of whole wheat flower(15 buns) over 24 hours.  Nothing wrong with a little fibre, but I think I overdid it.

Hugs4u,

Congrats on your successful broccoli soup!  I wondered how it went

Nice buns

Thanks everyone,

I baked some whole wheat bread in a a bread maker, but I forgot to let the bread rise.  I figured there would be nothing like fresh bread, and the smell is wonderful.  The buns were hard, because I forgot to let the bread rise.  I thought it would be easier than trying to figure out who sells good buns, and they're ridiculously expensive.  The down side is the smoke, but the heat is good in the kitchen, which tends to be cold during the winter.  I also used spelt whole wheat bread, so it might not be ideal.  Whole wheat should be best.

I did successfully make broccoli soup, with a couple of onions, couple of potatoes, for a couple of days and it was successful.  I even have chives growing in garden, which I was able to garnish the dish with!

Sometimes I think I'm making life harder.  Caregiving needs to be simplified, rather than more difficult.  Maybe I'm micromanaging, rather than delegating.  I know I used to delegate to some extent during my whole life, but being hands-on might not be productive, sometimes.

I just have too much to do.

I want to pick my battles, prioritize, but it's as though I'm pouring tea into a cup with one hand, and the other hand is complaining to the other, that I'm taking on too much.  How do I get the two hands to talk

Josie, was that a blog or a post

Good morning  Hugs.

Blogging gives you the opportunity to ramble on on anything you want to and gives you a good opportunity to see where your mind is going that day. People can answer and you can delete it if you find it not relevant. It will show you your own personal progress as it will not be buried under an avalanche of other posts.

I always read your posts, even if I don't answer. Right now I only come up from the dungeon (shop) long enough to eat and get mail. Sometimes it surprises me how much the weather has changed.

So what are you baking? Cookies I hope. I have to make bread again tomorrow. It has become a robotic routine that I do on auto pilot.

Davit.

hugs,

Both are therapeutically important! Blogging can be for everyday thoughts and emotions and posting can be thought provoking, supportive and knowledgeable.

Sometimes I don't get responses...To some degree, I know it's also the comfort level of the members, since I took a long time for my first post.  Also, others might benefit differently.

You are right on track here!

I think you may be able to leave a comment on someone's blog, but it would be more between the two people. On the forum, it's a big discussion that everyone can see :)

Hi Hugs,

My daughter explained it to me.  A forum or board is interactive, so if you're looking for a response you want to post. A blog is more of an on line journal where you are writing out your thoughts and usually people just read them.
