Hi Jo, The feelings you are having are normal for this, I feel frightened alot, some days a lot worse than others. It is panic attacks, anxiety, you feel like you are losing it - even forgetting where I put my keys & I panic that this is the start of losing control or having a breakdown. The thing is it never happens, like everything with panic attacks & anxiety - nothing really bad ever happens, our body is just on high alert all the time! We go numb somewhere & that is all we can think about, get a sharp pain in the back or leg & that is all we can think about, and we think the worst - that makes our symptoms worse. You are going to be fine, I hope you have looked at the CBT therapy as it is really helping me & I am not even half way through it. Just remember, nothing really bad has happened & it won't. You are not alone in this, this is what the site is for. We all have symptoms, we all have fear, we have good days, we have bad, but we are here to vent to & to listen & support. Keep in touch. Toni

Has anyone read self help books I read lots that do help but there is one called self help for your nerves which goes on about breakdowns, is it possible for people who are extremley nervous and anixous to have breakdowns from this as it really scares me, I have some kind of feelings all day at the moment I have this feeling that my hands won't work and are very weak and numb especially me little fingers is it just a feeling? as it getting to me a bit. Also if you do not get much sleep does anyone feel worse more not with it, dizzy and weak etc. How come cannot go a day without any feelings whats wrong with me.
