Hey Jo! I have this same problem. I have been tested for diabetes many times, twice this year. It always comes up negative. I get shaky, super weak, spacey feeling in the head like I'm not there, dizzy, blurry vision, slight confusion and kind of numb all over. If I eat something, it usually always goes away. Sometimes, food just makes it better. But, it will almost always go away after eating. The doctor told me that if I had diabetes, I would get these symptoms but would also have extreme thirst and very frequent urination - they describe this as getting up several times in the night to urinate. And often throughout the day. Trust your doctors. I know the anxiety makes it extremely hard to trust the doctors because how could there seriously be nothing wrong when you feel like you're knocking on death's door all the time!! But, the test for diabetes is very simple and if there was even a question, they would be able to see it. The way I deal with these symptoms in particular (there are so many, but for these particular ones in general) I make it a point to eat something every two hours. Not a meal every two hours, but a snack. The best is fruit, veggies, crackers or cheese. They have a lot of fiber and give you energy to your next meal. Drink your 64 oz of water every day and try to exercise at least every other day. Take a 30 minute walk at least every other day if you can get out of the house, or work out to a DVD or something if you can't. It will make you feel stronger. I need to get back into the exercise thing! :confuse: I haven't worked out in probably five months and I can seriously feel the difference in my mood and general energy levels. Also, try to stay away from sugar because it will help with the immediate blood sugar drop, but when that wears off, it will make the feelings come back worse. Try not to have more than about 25 grams of sugar a day. That way, you don't feel deprived if you have a sweet tooth like I do, but you also won't get the funky effects from it either. Anyway.... hope that helps!! Hang in there!!

Hi Jo, You're symptoms sound like anxiety to me. You might want to consider seeing your doctor one last time to rule out anything medical. Then, you can tackle the anxiety full on. I've experienced all of those symptoms (and more!) when I have an anxiety attack. I think your fear is common - or at least, it is to me. I used to have a lot of anxiety around my eating and to this day I still feel anxiety if I don't eat three square meals a day. Just remember that these feelings will pass and you will be fine. It might help to do something to distract yourself when you start to feel it comming on (I used to play a lot of solitaire and online poker - that's a great distraction!) Good luck and keep us posted.

Jo, Thank you for sharing. Please take the anxiety test and share it with your doctor. This may help better assess the situation for you both. You may also start the panic Diary to assist you in pinpointing that time and place of the anxiety. Let us know if we can help, Keep Strong, Josie _______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hi, I keep getting a really dry tongue and mouth feels like I have been sucking on chalk and I keep getting really shakey sometimes and clumsy sometime shaking is really bad, my legs also often go weak and shakey and I am obsessed its my blood sugar levels going loo, I have had a glouose blood test in February of this year and it was fine, could be my anixety coming out in a different way, I don't want to keep going back to the doctors as I think they will think I am mad although I feel it with this constantly sometimes I wake up feeling shakey and cannot get it of my mind now and am worried to go out case it all starts. I am not thirsty or anyting, I got out of bath tonight and felt shakey had dinner and seem not to bad is this an anixety thing as I am scared now.
