Caffeine

I miss being able to have a regular coffee. Its nice to have sometimes. I drink decaf tea and caffine free drinks now. Plus drinking more water is better for you anyways :) Sugar can also be a pain. If I have to much sugar I feel really sick.

Well, as for sugar, I find I cannot eat big portions of it, but I do enjoy a sweet snack here and there. I think for me it is really a question of proprtion. As long as it is only in small portins, it kinda helps pick me up a bit but only in small portions. Big portions just make me hyper and fidgety! -Diva

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Now I know I'm not alone with this sensitivity. Also, has anyone noticed any sensitivity to sugar? I *try* to avoid/reduce sugar as much as possible. It really sucks, though because I can no longer enjoy my favourite treats like ice cream and cookies. Healthwise, however, it is a good thing, since I eat a lot more fruit for the sweet flavour. Kitt

Hi everyone, I too have cut down on my coffee quite abit. I used to drink a pot a day but now will only have 2-3 cups a day. It is the chocolate I have a problem staying away from especially during certain times of the month. (WINK!WINK!) :)

Yes, I have similar sypmtoms that is why I do not drink coffee or energy drinks anymore. Also similar sympotms make cigarettes and green tea for me.

Yeah, I have really cut down and in fact, I avoid coffee altogether. If I do have any caffeine, I have Chai tea (but only a bit) because the smell calms me. Or for a sugar boost, I drink 1/2 a Coke. Any more than that and I find my anxiety rise!

For me caffeine does the same thing, it makes my symptoms worse and prevents me from sleeping properly. I have cut out caffeine of my diet. No coffee, no tea, little or no chocolate, no colas, etc. I find it really made a big difference for me. So yeah I agree that decaf is better lol -Diva

Has anyone else noticed a worsening of symptoms when consuming caffeine? Just curious, because I quit consuming caffeine a few months ago and noticed a difference. I unwisely consumed a coffee and 2 diet cokes a few days ago and felt so anxious I was ready to crawl out of my skin. Then, that night, I wasn't able to sleep (despite 50mg of Seroquel). I wonn't be doing that again!! Decaf from now on.
