Hi. It's terrific that you are examining patterns in your panic attacks. Noticing a pattern is an important step. That feeling of unreality and detachment from your body is called "derealization and depresonalization" and are common symptoms of panic attacks.
If you think medications could be affecting the pattern, why not ask your doctor for "a Medication Review?" This would be a specific and deliberate examination of what meds you're taking and when, and it should be done every couple of months.
And if you ask for it telling him/her that its purpose is to discuss and examine this pattern effect with you, your doctor will most likely do this, and yours may make an adjustment in a med in an effort to help.

Hey you guys! This is just a thought. Could it be whatever meds you're taking and some side effect? I used to take Remeron and the side effect was sleepiness. It was supposed to level out in 2 weeks. I took it for 4 years and every night I took it I used to fall asleep within 20 minutes and slept so hard I couldn't wake up at all. In the morning I used to feel light headed and grogy. So you might want to check with your doc about the meds.

I'am just like you...I wake up all nervous inside. I guess I'am thinking of the day ahead and I worry. It's the morning rush and by the time I drop off my kids at school and daycare, I feel better...calmer. I take Xanax now everyday in the morning ( just half a pill) and I find it helps me get through the worst part of the morning. However, I just saw my doctor this morning and I'll be taking my first Paxil medications tonight. I hear it takes a few weeks to help but after this week ( which I found very hard), I'am willing to try just about anything. Any words of encouragement for me out there about Paxil ?

I too have the worst part of my symptoms in the morning. I am not sure why but I usually taper off through out the day.
My symptoms often include unreality. I describe this like I am detached from reality. It is like eveything around me is passing me by quickly and I am in slow motion.
It is an awefull fealing, but what helps me is that I know that it won't last forever.

It could also be that during the day your're more busy and you don't think about it. But it is the same for me. Now I'm starting to dread it at about 3pm knowing I'm going to feel like that later. Which is weird cause I am a night owl and I feel better after 9-10, But it's that early dusk that drives me crazy.I only feel better around Christmas when you want it to be dark so you can see the lights. I already can't wait for the summer.

I'm normally ok in the morning and get worse as it gets dark. I'm also much worse during the winter months when the nights seem to last forever and outside is dark and cold and threatening.

Does anyone else have a time of day when their symptoms are worse? I am a total basketcase in the morning and then I seem to level out as the day goes on. But usually at night, it comes back again. When I wake up in the morning, my heart is racing!
Also, I am curious about other people's symptoms. I feel completely detatched from reality. I'll look down at my hands and I feel like they're not my hands. Does that sound weird?
