Take little steps and don't plan too far ahead. To go to the shop maybe a kilometer is too far all at once so break it down. One day walk a quarter of the distance and turn around and go home and then repeat for maybe another day or two or until you're sure you're safe and then go 1/2 the distance and work your way up to the full kilometer. Hope that helps.

Dear Freinds, This site is really wonderful and since i joined I am struggling but improving with my panic and anxiety disorders. My biggest problems are fear of everything, not all the time but when i am having anxiety attacks, i fear even to speak, to walk to talk to even go to the bathroom as i fear that i might faint on the way or many times i feel as if i am walking on a high bridge, anybody expereincing these symptoms, please advise, i would be glad if you could give me some tips, like i want to go to the shop wich is about a kilo mtere away from were i live even thinking of the idea of going out gives me the stomach butterflies, heat in the body, shortness of breat, palpitation and extreme fear, please advise how to cope iwth ith any further advises can be forwarded to my e-mail address: filsan76@yahoo.com THank you all
