Yes. But sometimes I didn't, I just couldn't. After a year and a half I have to admit I do not like Sunny's dog. I don't hate it but I certainly don't like the spoilt B........h. But then all my dogs were working dogs who knew the rule of three. They did their job and some of them probably loved me and I know I loved most of them. (you can still have dumb ass dogs in working dogs but they don't usually live long.) I never made the mistake of teaching them to beg by giving them treats for doing what they are supposed to do anyway. Well fed yes but no treats between meals. Unless of course you like a dog under foot most of the day. Same goes for cats.
Did I mention that I prefer cats. They don't bark or crap on the lawn or in the garden unless they don't have a clean box.
It can be tough sometimes to restrain ourselves when something upsets us or causes anxiety. But like you mentioned approaching someone about this type of thing usually requires the right timing.
In the meantime, keep yourself busy and distracted so that you don't continue to ruminate on this.
Members, have you had similar experience? How have you dealt with similar situations?
Today I did, as I do annually, since the neighbours got busy on their backyard deck, since the husband is back from hospital for a bbq. What annoys me is that they opened their big-assed umbrella over our property line, again. It only sticks over a foot, but with our yards being so close, there lack of awareness is something which is pervasive, and has caused some grief
I might want to say something privately, to the homeowner's wife, since there are too many people scurrying about.
For now, I'm just not saying anything, since it isn't timely. Maybe what I should say, is how they would like it if I put my property over their side
