Hello. I too am 34 years old and have been dealing with panic for about 7 months now. I am taking Lexapro for the depression that grabbed me when the couldn't figure out what was wrong with me when I darn well knew something was and Xanax Extended Release tablets (new - excellent pill - 24 hour coverage and none of the ups and downs like with the regular Xanax)! I start therapy next week - the wheels of all this turn so slowly! I am very interested in talking with you, as I get hot, shaky, dizzy and have nearly fainted on numerous occassions - one time in a restaurant I actually did and ended up spending the night in the hospital. I don't know if my low blood pressure and the margarita I had before dinner did it or panic, but that is what triggered this whole mess for me! I'll watch for your posts, I check in at some point almost every day!

Howdy Monkap! Feeling dizzy, worrying about fainting and fearing that u r losing your mind are all very common symptoms for people who get panic attacks. Do your best to not avoid situations. That will make you have more work to do in recovery. Face your fears. The sooner u face them the sooner they will go away. ciao!
Hi Monkap, welcome! The things you describe are peppered here and there in posts on our site. YOu are most certainly not alone in feeling this way. The Panic program does address this issue of fainting or fear of it rather. Please feel welcome to post a new discussion of your own or to participate in those already ongoing.
Hi:
I am new here. I am 34 years old and have had panic attacks on and off for about 5 years. I have recently started having them again but they are different this time and more frightening. I used to have mostly racing heart and hot flashes that went quickly and I could deal with them. Now I feel dizzy and I am absolutely terrified of fainting sometimes I feel like I am losing my mind. For the first time I find myself really avoiding situations. I have been to the doctor and nothing is wrong with me. Does anyone here also have these symptoms? I am so thankful to have found this site and I am eager to complete the 12 week program!
