Stress as an Excuse To Smoke

for 19 år siden 0 218 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
This just dawned on me, I had thought of this before but for me I believe sometimes I would use stress as an excuse to smoke since any other time I felt guilty. Now being smoke free for awhile some things that I mightve gone out for a smoke for are things that aren't that stressful I just made it in my head be more stressful to justify my smoking addiction. Ang, You just figured out the secret of junkie talk... we said it to ourselves when we smoked and we say it to ourselves now to rationalize throwing away our quits. Smoking actually creates MORE stress on ourselves because it raises our blood pressure and creates more stress on our bodies, but we all told ourselves that smoking makes us calmer. If you can tell yourself that that's just the junkie talking and that the REAL you wants to stay quit, then you will definitely have a successful quit. It's often useful to come up with a list of your "junkie talk" and come up with ways to combat that when you're craving. Good job fighting off that junkie! Crave the Quit! Hi again Ang, Learning to deal with your emotions is one of the main parts of quitting. Nothing is ever bad enough to make it worse by smoking. Check out the thread "Let Them Fall". Crying will be a gr8 contribution to helping u grow up emotionally. The NEW YOU, will start to overcome the OLD YOU & THE JUNKIE IN YOU. Once this happens it will get easier and easier to get through the stressful times. I see what your saying in your post but at the same time u really will have some stressful times that will seem at the time to be unbearable. But as long as u don't smoke you'll grow into the person who no longer feels the need to smoke. No matter what don't lite up... Keep on keepin on...
