Good Day,
I am here to clear up some confusion. We have erased several of the threads, as we felt that they were a tad over zealous, inappropriate and past the point of constructive criticism.
This Support Group is about quitting smoking and it is a safe place for people to rely on when they are having trouble. It is discouraging for new and existing members to read posts that do not focus on the difficult task of quitting smoking and that become judgmental.
It is important for members to note that the SSC is a free service. As we have hundreds of members using our Support Group, we are forced to implement a strict User Agreement. Any breach of that agreement is determined by our company, and we reserve the right to disallow user access to our programs at our discretion.
We want our site to be as welcoming and as supportive as possible for all quitters, and we do value all our members. While we understand that quitting smoking is stressful, we ask that your posts reflect the terms within our User Agreement.
We value all our members opinions and support you all in your determination to quit. We are not here to judge or criticize another's' quit.
The SSC is a funded organization, which allows all programs to be free. People often confuse the fact that the service is free with their ability to freely do and say whatever they please. This is not the case. Just as if our members were visiting someones physical house, we expect people to respect the house rules. If they do not respect the house rules, we ask them to leave, and that is our fundamental right.
We do not allow the posting of e-mail address', as this is an anonymous site and goes against the User Agreement.
Please note that these informational threads are locked as to encourage members to contact us via feedback.
Let's keep it light and on topic.
Keep Strong,
Josie
