You all are so wonderful. Thank you for all you said on my last post. I really think I am ready. I can't wait till I don't feel congested or my throat scratchy. I look forward to having more energy to walk stairs! All is positive. I am so tired of giving my money to Phillip Morris!
I am planning to take the money I would have spent daily and put it in a fun account for the first few months so I can reward myself often. I plan on going for a massage first with the money, pedicure, nails you know the pamper stuff. Then I plan to save the rest for a nice vacation next June for my anniversay, 20 years!
The only thing I dread is the withdrawls on the 3rd and 5th day. I still remember how I felt the last time I tried to quit and it was not pleasant. Of course I was doing it cold turkey and this time with patches and with all of you! People that have never smoked have no idea what we are going through and to them it just looks ridiculous for it to be so hard. Intellectually it even seems that way to me, but usually when I quit my mind just gets focused on cigarettes and I start justifying that it is not that bad, and why should I give up something I really love to do and that is where you come in, to remind me that I am quitting for great reasons and that I am not being deprived.
Ok all, let's go forward, QUIT, and be so proud of ourselves for recognizing that this habit is not a good thing and is stealing precious time from our lives. Thanks again for your support and I am here for you too!
CDS :)
