I did the same thing after one week of the 21 mg patch I have decided to take it off after readung the Allen Carr and i have been cold tueky for 48 hours and it hasnt been bad at all. Everyone should read his book.
i decided as from friday night i was coming off the patches.
On friday evening i was reading my allen carr book again and made my decision to come off any aid and go cold turkey.
I had used the 21 mgm for just over 3 weeks and gone down to 14mgm .i could not tell the diference.i was still having slight withdrawl symptoms as i was with the higher strength.
so after 3 days on 14 mgms i thought i have had enough just go for it.
i am on my 2nd day of nothing at all and i feel fine ,dont get me wrong i am still having minor withdrawl symptoms but i can cope.
in fact again i cannot tell the difference.i am now 30 days as a none smoker .i can hardly believe it.
it has taken me years to make this decision and it is the right time for me.
thanks all......

Be sure to reward yourself often, OK? It's such an important part of quitting! We were used to the "reward" every time we smoked, so getting your brain used to another form of reward is paramount. Congratulations for a job well done.

Congratulations Teen - You are doing well! I always did have to take the safe route so I read Alan Carr's book AND used patches for 9 weeks so I think i'm around 56 days patch free if my calculations are correct.
My motto - do what works best for you!

Teen
This is great but do be careful.
I tried this on hols in September was OK for a couple of days and then felt as though I was being kicked all over.

Congratulations, teen! I'm glad this is working for you. Just remain vigilant for another few days until all the nicotine is gone. Remember the coping techniques you used in the first few days.
And most of all, reward yourself big time! 30 days is a major milestone!!!

Good for you and congrats on such great stats! Take the time to check with your doctor and pharmacist to make sure you are on the right path. If it working for you then do it :)
