Twilight Zone

for 17 år siden 0 29 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Any other newbie quitters feel like they are in the twilight zone? Nothing about my life has changed except for the fact that I am a non-smoker now. Everything has a strange "tint" to it. Is it just me? LOL I hope things get back to a more "normal" feel or that this "new normal" becomes "normal" real soon. I feel weirded out (not enough to smoke but come on...hahaha)! Howdy TexasIvy! Do...do..do..do...do, Yes, I hear ya, it's a little strange for me too. Maybe just because we're still working on our 72 hour mark. You're doing great, so keep up the awesome job!!!
gonnadoit says Just think, Back in highschool you paid good money for that feeling!
Giggly, giggling, unless we're talking about different things gonna, back when I was in highschool they gave away free samples! (In all seriousness, is anyone else here so old they can still remember the free 6 pack samples of ciggys?) Hang on tight and enjoy what we can of the ride. ;p Pat quitter's win, winners quit My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 102 Amount Saved: $28 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 12 Seconds: 35

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I think there is a fog and confusion. There is also a redefinition that occurs. I think this happens as we try to re-program our coping mechanisms to life. Some of us just quit smoking. Some of us grab the bull by the horns and take the opportunity to embrace life changes. It's difficult b/c it's not easy to identify all the ways in which we relied on smoking and for what reasons. If we try to keep an awareness about us as it unfolds, we can start to see patterns and rather than grabbing a cigarette, we can behave in a way that we would like to envision as more functional, effective. It takes work until we find new behaviors and ways of viewing the world that will work for us. Between here and there there's LaLa Land. Stopping smoking involves a lot more than just not sticking a cancer stick in your mouth. Relax, it's a good sign. Texas (I'm from Houston!) Just hold on tight... you are waking up in many ways, and healing at the same time... It may feel strange now, but in time, it will just BE - and it'll be wonderful! Texas, This is normal and it will pass. It is one of the ways your body is trying to heal itself. Give yourself some rest and relax time and go to bed early. You need to start the day fresh :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
