Freedom,
I was also in an abusive marriage. I got a protection from abuse order which ended the physical abuse, but I endured the emotional abuse for several more years until I found the strength to end the marriage...for my sake and for my children (girls). He said I needed counselling...there was nothing wrong with him. I went alone, and I learned a lot! Do what you have to do to survive, but understand what your child is learning from you.
Please don't give up your quit. It won't help anything, but you know that already. Use your coping skills to get through the worst of it, and stick close to us. We will give you all the support we can.
God Bless,
Nance
