Smoking Dream

MyLast, I do have smoking dreams (even now). Most of them involve lighting a cig, realising what I've done, then waking up, as if from a nightmare. Don't worry! Mylast, It may have been scary but consider it a positive sign! Just like you said, in your dream, it was like holding a loaded gun to your head. This is a significant switch from dreams where you actually enjoyed them. In either case, no need to worry. These dreams do subside as time passes. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Glad to hear it's all normal and happens to evryone. Really glad that I am killing the beast. Thought it was weird though that I really wasn't enjoying the smoke at all. It was almost like them holding a loaded gun to my head. Isn't it worrisome those first few minutes of being awake, unsure whether you smoked or not? Now that's a bad feeling. It would almost be fun to start a thread to hear about other people's most outragous smoking dreams. I'm still getting them even after all these days. I actually had one the last two nights. Maybe it's just a crave coming out in my dreams. I am just glad that I only blew my quit in my dreams and not in life! N~O~P~E~! When I dream I'm smoking, it is always so wonderful I hate to wake up. Sometimes I'm sitting on the patio of a beautiful estate watching the sunset over the distant mountains. I'm smoking and having a glass of wine watching the starts come out. Sometimes I'm watching television, curled up in front of a cheery fireplace smoking. I'm always at peace, always comfortable and happy. That's why they are such horrid dreams. Hi Mylast, I think our dreams are individual and yours appears to be in the realm of normal. It is scary when you wake up and have to think for a moment or two, "did I blow my quit"? I had some odds ones also. Once I was in a bar and a couple of gals hit on me and asked me outside for a smoke. I see that you are killing the beast cause that is when the dreams start to happen when the beast is dying on the vine. Good for you Mylast! Had a nightmare type dream last night that I was being forced to smoke. People I knew were actually putting the cigarette in my mouth and making me breathe it in. It was like a nightmare and I woke up scared that I smoked. Is this the typical "smoking dream" people experience. Very weird but I do love my dreams, except not this one so much.
