Wazz, your post just reminded me of how I felt when I had 8 days. Hang in there. it does get better. I was very unsure of my quit at that point. Power through and at some point (mine was day 20) you will feel good. I have actually gained a few pounds now and that is just one of the things I hoped to acomplish through quitting. I know it is tuff but the rewards of beating an addiction are pretty powerful. I am proud to have not smoked for 129 days. It still amazes me.(she said as she takes a long deep breath and slowly exhaled without coughing) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 129 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,580 Amount Saved: $516.00 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 5 Mins: 52 Seconds: 1

Wazz old buddy you've got 8 days into quitting a major addiction.Give yourself a break, relax and go with the flow. This is one of the toughest jobs your going to tackle bar none .Your body is adjusting to withdrawel of over 4000 chemicals yep Wazz thats 4000 nicotine being just one .Now I know this sounds silly Wazz but you realy have to be a little kinder to yourself and be patient this will all work out just as it should and you'll feel much better for it all including the anger part. ;p Trust Me. Wazz, You may be feeling tired because nicotine is a stimulant and your metabolism is a little slower than usual, therefore unable to produce as much energy as usual. Hang in there. This too shall pass and as Sparky said you are right on target for your second week. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

You are on track. Be careful of those knees. Anyway I felt like I was totally goofy forever. You are one of the lucky ones. Sleep didn't come easy for me. I took a week of work of for this quit. Thought by the end of the week maybe Id do something fun. LOL nope I felt like crap all week and still do. I have no motivation at all, Im very sleepy, very miserable and I dont even want to step outside. Sure its gets better at some point. As a smoker I could run 2 miles at the drop of a hat now that Ive quit I want to see what I can do. Hope this funk ends soon. I plan to do some running bad knees and all starting monday. Gyn is Tuesday and maybe safer. No weight gain as of yet but Im hoping I start packing on pounds soon as I havent stop eating since I quit except to sleep which I have done alot of. thanks My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 176 Amount Saved: $47.52 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 7 Mins: 9 Seconds: 49
