I used a strip of surgical tape on the upper arm, worked well!

Hey Frosty! There are some instructions with the patch that have suggestions to do if it won't stick. I believe rubbing alcohol on the skin first was one of them! :)

Thanks for the advice, the 'under the collar bone' suggestion is working wonderfully also holding it on for a full minute helped tremendously. I didnt think about the warming part, I just assumed that pressing it on was enough. Fantastic tips, thank you all

Hi Frosty,
I quit using the patch as well.. I put it on my bottom!!! That seemed to be the best place for me.. I used the patches in the summer and some days it just would not stay on........
Good luck..
The best advise I found on this site is that, A CRAVE ONLY LAST A FEW MINUETS, JUST WAIT IT OUT!!!!

Way to go on 3 days Frosty. Nice going. I'm also on the patch and I put mine just under the collar bone and I keep my hand on it for at least a minute so it will stick on real good.

Frosty,
It is generally recommended to keep patches on your upper torso as anywhere below decreases their effectiveness. You may find it helpful to put them near folds of your clothing. Ex: Under a bra strap, the waistline of your pants...
Placing your hand over the patch for a full minute after application also helps to warm the adhesive and promote adhesion.
Congrats on day 3!

Hi Frosty,
One quitter here I know for sure recommends putting the patches on the bottom as they seem to stay on really well there.
There will be others along with some suggestions soon.

Hi everyone, first let me say Im really enjoying this forum. Ive found lots of great tips here. Im starting on day 3 being smokefree. Im using nicotine patches to help with the withdrawals and cravings. They do help however Im having trouble keeping them on. Does anyone have any recommendations for other places to put them besides the arm?
Thanks in advance,
~Tammy~
