Lance, you're doing great!  Now is the time to start forming new hobbies, new things to do.  Break out of your old routines as they are all associated with smoking.  Go back through "my program" and make sure that everything you've learned about yourself and this quit over the past two days is updated.  Just remember that this temporary inconvenience will yield a HUGE permanent improvement!  We're all rooting for your continued success!

Hell week (the first week of your quit) can be one of the most challenging and can be accompanied with many obstacles. The following week is know as heck week, this week is generally a less intense version of hell week. Keep in mind how habituated your body was to receiving nicotine. Making a huge change in your life such as this one is not something that is easy to do but it be extremely beneficial to your health and quality of life. Hang in there Lance! You have many supporters!

Just take one craving at a time. And have your coping strategies on hand. If I can do it, you can do it!

Another thing that got me going is the exercise - I started only about 1 month ago, I was hacking and coughing like crazy... I am not doing much - not investing in Gym memberships yet. But I got the Wii Fit Plus and Billy Blanks routines... they'll get you off the couch and give you something good to do for yourself, for a change. Keep it simple and be determined. There will be ups and downs... but guess what? If you know they'll come, you can prepare yourself for it, and not slip.  Give it a try, OK?

Thank You! It is so cool someone is this close. Right now Im pretty much alone. Not with my family and the guys I live with all smoke, plus they are guys, if you know what I mean, ie clean kitchen. Anyway, I am using the patches, reg. chewing gum and baby carrotts right now. Im still amazed im even doing this right now, but hoping it helps with my overall quality of life. Its not bad today either.

It's truly a sign of how addicted you can become to cigarettes when  it was tough to make it to day 2. OMG how bad is that. Now I keep looking for articles to reinforce the relation on anxiety/panic attacks, if there is any, to keep me going. It is my motivation, mainly.
