Hi Wnt2, I know that spaced out zombie feeling- I experienced that too, it is most bizarre but it does pass. I felt like I was out of body just watching myself going through the motions of the day, in fact I even blamed the patches for this surreal feeling. But yes it does pass, so hang on in there, it does get better.

Hey Wnt2!!!

Congratulations on making it through Heck Week!!!  You ARE doing great!!!  The zombie state you are in right now is a side effect of quitting and maybe a little bit of the Chantix.  The thing is, it's OK!    Many of us here went through the same thing, some of us longer than others!  The thing is, it WILL go away!   Sooooo, my suggestion is to enjoy it while you can, because you will NEVER have to go through this again!!!

Keep up that PMA and keep on kicking that demon's ash!!!

            Jim

Thanks for the encouraging words from my fellow non smokers!!!   I am usually a very positive person so this phase is very difficult for me.
I will keep moving forward and just let this all pass because I know it will

Your body is starting the healing process, we go through some changes when we quit. Mood is one of them. It may be a rollercoaster of emotion at first, but it eases up pretty quick.

I went through the same thing. I know why now and I try to be patient. I know it's a minor inconveinence for a big reward. It takes a little time to undo the damage we did.

wnt,

Actually this can be normal.  It will pass and you will make it through.  If it persists, talk to your doctor and pharmacist to rule out side effects, dosages and medical issues.

Have you done anything nice for you lately?
Treat yourself, be good to your body and spoil yourself!'

hey wnt2bfree - you are doing SO AWESOME!!!    One more day and heck week will be a thing of the past.  How wonderful for you!  I imagine by now you're finding that you have more time on your hands which is why you'r'e feeling somewhat "out" of it.  Perhaps the Chantix does have something to do with that, I don't know.  I only know what I am jealous of you and can only hope that I get as far in my quit as you have!!
Congrats and keep up the good job!

Well it's been almost 2 weeks and I'm still feeling like I'm not really here.  I wouldn't call it depressed but I don't feel any real happiness yet.  I feel like a robot just going thru the motions of the day.  I don't really care about much of anything going on around me I mostly just want to go to bed and hope for this feeling of nothingness to pass.
I'm on the Chantix....maybe thats the problem
